DUTY OF DISCLOSURE AND COMPLETION OF PROPOSAL FORMSMay we draw your attention to the importance of the Declaration and signature on Insurers’ proposal forms. Any failure to disclose facts material to the insurance or any inaccuracies in your answers could invalidate the cover. It is your responsibility to provide complete and accurate information to insurers when you take out your insurance policy, throughout the life of your policy, and when you renew your insurance. It is important that you ensure that all statements you make on proposal forms, claim forms and other documents are full and accurate. Please note that if you fail to disclose any material information to your insurers this could invalidate your insurance cover and could mean that part or all of a claim may not be paid. You are reminded that if you have a birthday between the quotation date and date of inception of cover you may find that your premium may be increased. PRIVATE MEDICAL INSURANCE The basis of medical insurance is to pay medical expenses for the treatment/curing of a medical condition. Although insurance policies vary (and we will draw your attention to variations where appropriate) the following are not normally covered:
Private medical insurance is an annually renewable contract. At the renewal date your insurer will review the cover and costs will be increased to reflect both medical cost inflation and normally your age. We feel we should also point out that the increases are always likely to be above the rate of inflation. LEGAL JURISDICTION The Policy will be governed by and shall be construed in accordance with English Law and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
